Phang Nga Bay · 8°N

Forty minutes from Phuket. A century from it.

The cliff

Six villas. One cliff. No lobby.

Teak, black stone and glass, built into the rock so the jungle keeps its edge. You arrive by boat and are met with a cold towel and nothing to sign.

The pool

The pool ends where the sea begins.

Forty metres of still water on the cliff edge. Nobody has ever found the seam.

Evening

Dinner arrives by long-tail.

Grilled sea bass from the fishermen next door, lime from the garden, a bottle you chose at breakfast.

Night

Then the stars, which we do not charge for.

No light for thirty kilometres in any direction. The pool is lit; the sky is not.

The villas

Six, and not seven.

Each villa has its own pool, its own stretch of cliff and its own idea of privacy. Some face the sunrise, some the karsts. None face each other.

Days here

There is no schedule. This is roughly what happens.

06:40
The light

Sunrise over the karsts. Coffee comes to the pool edge without being asked for.

11:00
The bay

Long-tail to a beach with no name. Snorkel, read, come back when the ice runs out.

19:30
The table

Dinner on your own deck. The chef asks one question a day: fish or not fish.

Rates

Per villa, per night.

Breakfast, boat transfers from Phuket, and the long-tail are included. Nothing here costs extra except the wine.

Come when it's quiet.

We answer by hand, usually the same day. Tell us who's coming and which month; we'll tell you which villa.
